Captured some footage on our GoPro inside the Top Alcohol Funny Car β€œ200 Proof” machine! This was captured during the semi-final round at Cordova Dragway for the @FunnyCarChaos Summer Nationals. We had a bye-run this round as our opponent ended the night early with a burned up rear main before it was time to be called up. I apologize for the lower lighting in some spots as it was getting past sunset time, but you might be able to tell during the run the car shook hard (ended up breaking rear motor mounts) but we were able to get things fixed and up for finals. Although we didn't win, we did come out of the weekend running a 3.70 ET at 203 mph! Make sure to follow us on our socials to keep up to date with more racing content! Ride Along Inside the 200 Proof Alcohol Funny Car
After a long awaited period, we are back with more from our SaturdayShop Series: Chapter 5πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ With the racing season starting, we have had our hands full, so this is an accumulation of different clips over the course of time this previous month. In this episode you will see a lot of welding done to the frame - which as of today, we are pretty much complete with. There are also many clips fitting tubing for the suppression system, along with fitting our oil tank and Co2 tank. Welcome back to our SaturdayShop Series: Chapter 4:PLEASE READ BELOW for VIDEO DESCRIPTION ⬇️⬇️ It's been a minute, but we're back to share Chapter 4 in the Saturday Shop Series to show you what prgroess we made in the shop yesterday on the new funny car. In this episode, we're getting our hands dirty by continuing to add pipes to the rear drivers compartment. We're also installing uprights in front of the motor to ensure it solid and secure. Eagerly, we've begun the process of building the front spindle fixtures, an essential piece in the full construction of the car. Welcome again to our SaturdayShop Series: Chapter 3! PLEASE READ BELOW for VIDEO DESCRIPTION ⬇️⬇️ Exciting progress has been made in building our new Funny Car! Currently we're in the final stages of welding were the rear end will go. Additionally, we are fitting a fixture tube in the block that will stretch from the engine to the rear end. The purpose of this fixture tube is to help maintain alignment between the block and rear end so that the driveshaft and coupler slide smoothly. Finally, in the video we are fitting pipes and setting the top frame rails into place. Stay tuned for more as we build and assemble our car in this Saturday Shop Series! Welcome again to our SaturdayShop Series: Chapter 2! PLEASE READ BELOW for VIDEO DESCRIPTION ⬇️⬇️ In this second video of our series, we dive into the process of setting up the shoulder hoop, while bending and fitting the upper frame rails that connect to it. We then demonstrat fitting the upper frame rails past the motor plate for a seamless integration. Lastly, we are measuring and coping in the uprights, as well as properly sizing the motor plate. Welcome to our SaturdayShop Series! As we begin building our new funny car, we will be documenting and uploading the process from start to finish, so come along with us as we build to get this car track ready someday! This is the first video with combined footage from the past couple weeks of work. PLEASE READ BELOW for VIDEO DESCRIPTION ⬇️⬇️ VIDEO DESCRIPTION: In the start of the video, we are adding a table top to the work bench and finishing the jig along with mounting the tube bender. We then are building the base that the bottom frame rails will be mounted on, along with setting the bottom tube that the frame rails and rear end will mount to. As the video is progressing, we are bending the bottom frame rails, and welding them into place, then adding in the bottom crosses. We are adding support to keep the frame straight when the time comes and we do the final weld. Exciting times on the race car front! We've made some significant strides lately and we’re happy to share! First off, we successfully installed the CO2 bottle and regulator, and the lines to the transmission are now in place. πŸ”§πŸ’ͺ The interior is fitted, the belly pan is made, and we’re currently hard at work making the headers.Marcus is currently preparing the wiring for the ignition system and computer, and everything is coming together to ensure we are top-notch for race season! With so much work having been completed from this past year into now 2025, the anticipation for the upcoming race season is high! 🏁✨ We can't wait to hit the track and showcase all the hard work that has gone into this car.
